In our first year, most of the monies raised were used to run the event. However, we still managed to donate £150 to the Youth Centre, the Parish Church and the Maria Taylor Trust.

In 2010 we were able to donate £4,500 to our chosen charities. The Parish Church received £1,500 towards the refurbishment of the Parish Church Hall in Church Lane; £1,500 went to the running of the Youth Centre in the Tithe Barn and £1,500 to the Maria Taylor Trust, a small, local charity that helps older people in the village and who organise the Christmas Carols by Lantern Light.

In our third year, we donated £8,500 to deserving local charities and good causes. The Girl Guides received £3,000 towards renewing the roof on the Guide Hut and the Parish Church received £3,000 towards the floodlighting of the Church. £1,000 was donated to the Helen and Douglas House hospice, helping teenagers approaching the end of their lives. Leonard Cheshire received £1,000 to help support disabled people and 2313 (The Chalfonts) Squadron Air Training Corps received £500 in recognition of all the fantastic help they give every year at Feast Day.

Your contributions meant that we were able to donate £11,000 to local charities. This included £1,825 to the Chiltern Open Air Museum for new furniture for the Skipping Barn and Café. 2313 (The Chalfonts) Squadron Air Training Corps received £1,025 to provide materials and a laptop to help with training the many local 13-18 year old boys and girls who are active members.

£3,000 was contributed towards two new pieces of play equipment in the park at Milne Meadow as part of a larger plan by the Parish Council to upgrade local park facilities. The Parish Church received £3,000 towards the employment of a full time youth worker to benefit all teenagers in the village. The Iain Rennie Grove House Hospice also received a donation of £2,050 to provide pain relief drips for those in need. We have also been able to sponsor two apple trees in the Community Orchards set up by Change 4 Chalfont with a donation of £100.

Due to your generosity we donated £9,550 for good causes including £3,000 to the Youth Centre to help renew their basketball area. Chalfont St Peter Cricket Club received £1,300 towards new equipment, the Community Library received £1,250 for new equipment to run digital presentations and the Parish Church received £4,000 towards renewing the paths around the Church.

Despite the poor weather in 2014 we had our best year ever raising £14,250. We were able to support the Chamber of Commerce with £3,000 for the wonderful Christmas lights we enjoy every year. Chalfont Otters Swimming Club received £750 towards equipment for their first warm weather training camp.

The Community Library received £1,700 for new wifi equipment to benefit users. Helen and Douglas House needed help to refurbish their family building and Feast Day was delighted to give them £3,000 towards this. We helped with £4,000 towards the refurbishment of the Parish Church Hall. The Parish Council were also helped with £600 towards bollards onto Gold Hill Common to protect our open spaces from unauthorised access.

Finally, Bucks Search and Rescue, always on hand to help with first aid at Feast Day, received £1,200 to help with the purchase of new First Aid and safety equipment.

We were able to donate £21,232 thanks to your generosity. This included £2,000 for the development of a proper memorial garden in the ‘St Peter’s Garden’. Chalfont St Peter Infants School received £5,000 to equip the kitchen in their new community hall. The Parish Church received £3,232 towards repairs to the clock on the Parish Church tower and fencing for the toddler group. The Community Library received £1,500 to help with redecoration; Bucks Search and Rescue received £1,500 for new equipment and Chiltern Open Air Museum received £3,500 towards re-thatching one of their buildings. The Parish Council received £1,000 to plant trees around the village. Rennie Hospice needed help with computers and received £1,000 and the Cricket Club in the village received £1,000 for a new lawnmower. Finally the Chamber of Commerce received £1,500 towards the Christmas lights in the village.

The Parish Church received £2,000 to help replace its very old AV system; the Community First Responders received £2,000 towards extra equipment to provide immediate and often life saving first aid; Bucks Search and Rescue again continue vital and often unseen work with both first aid and lost people searches and received £1,000, Chiltern Open Air Museum received £3,000 to finish the wall around Haddenham Croft Cottage. Finally, Robertswood School received £2,000 towards the refurbishment of the nursery kitchens.

2017 proved to be another great year with a wonderful community feel to it. And yet again, due to everyone’s generosity, we were able to help several local charities and good causes. Gold Hill Baptist Church received £2,500 towards a new minibus to help transport elderly and disabled people on outings from Rock House. The Parish Church received £2,000 to help with a new video to enhance the overhauled sound system installed in the church. Iain Rennie received £1,000 towards their ‘Supporting Hands Befriending Project’ whilst Bucks Search and Rescue received £1,000 and Community First Responders £500.

In October we had a great evening handing out cheques for the money raised from Feast Day. To Chalfont St Peter’s Gardens, we were able to give £3000 for the installation of a wild flower meadow in the revamped garden. To the Scouts, we were able to donate £3000 to help refit and replace worn out toilets and heating in the scout hut. To Thames Hospice we were able to donate £2700 for special reclining chairs in their new extension. We were able to give £1500 to Rennie Grove Hospice Care to help renew their blood pressure monitors and stethoscopes. Friends of Chalfonts & GX Hospital received a cheque for £2000 for the refurbishment of a social prescribing room. First Responders received a cheque for £1000 and Bucks Search & Rescue received £1,500 to continue with their good work keeping the community safe and well and the Parish Church received a donation of £500.
